UGC faculty recharge programme

             Opportunity: The Mars Rover

This is a unique and a novel effort on behalf of UGC to revitalize the university system in India. Program has been launched with a goal to attract highly motivated individuals with a passion for teaching and research to join the university system in field of basic sciences to rejuvenate the research and teaching programs.

The uniqueness and novelty of the effort stem from the fact that it will be an attempt (first of its kind-in my limited knowledge) where the appointment are being made at positions of Assistant/Associate and full Professor positions and the extension of tenure is suggested to be purely based on peer evaluation after 5yrs.
